(We are due to create a website but have not been done yet.)
We are currently portraying the II. SS-Bataillon of the 11. SS-Panzergrenadier-Rgt. “Norge” 23 who served in the 11. SS-Freiwillige Panzergrenadier-Division “Nordland” who mainly consisted of volunteers from Norway and Danmark, however it also included different Volksdeutsche volunteers, Swedes, Finns and both volunteers and later conscripted Germans.
The division was sent to Croatia in September 1943 for training where it was also used to fight partisans. It was sent to the Oranienbaum front near Leningrad in November and December 1943 and suffered heavy losses during the Soviet offensive in January 1944, fighting on the Luga River and at Narva before retreating to the Tannenberg Line July 1944 where it remained until September 1944 when it retreated into Latvia seeing action in the Kurland battles.
It was transferred to Pomerania in February 1945 where it fought until 19 March when it was evacuated and sent to the Oder front. Much of the surviving parts of Nordland were caught up in the battle for Berlin and only a few suvivors managed to break out of the city.
The surviving elements of the divisions surrendered to the western Allies at the Elbe river.
We do not support nor tolerate neo-nazi or communist ideas, we are only a group of people who is fascinated by the historical part of it from a neutral perspective. Note that many foreign volunteers in the SS did not fight for national-socialism but against communism, that they felt threatened by. However, men signing up for our previous enemy can still be counted as traitors. NOTE THAT UNDER ANY NOTICE OF NEO-NAZI, RASCIST BEHAVIOUR, YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP RIGHT AWAY!!!
We are still quite a small group therefore official operations will not begin until we have received a share number of members.
